Cutlery set 2011

Design 3, tp2 Catedra Naso. 2011 . FADU

The delivery of the TP2 in Design 3 Naso was completed: development of a set of cutlery. In this case, the students worked in teams of 3 members. Each team developed a cutlery set composed of 12 pieces (10 imposed by the chair + 2 free). The main design challenge was in the configuration of a system (formal and productive). In addition, we worked on food typologies: Jewish cuisine, grill, pasta, minutes and fish / seafood. In this way, a second challenge was implicit: the semantic load of the products. The delivery was composed by the presentation of a large explanatory sheet, technical drawings of each piece, process folder, descriptive memory, models of all the pieces and 3 of them prototyped. This last condition represented the third project challenge, leaving the products exposed to the testing of ergonomic aspects and productive resolutions. 39 projects were presented, corresponding to a total of 114 students. Below are some images of the workshop in full exhibition of the work. It always becomes exciting and surprising so much effort and commitment demonstrated by the students and teachers of this University!
